Shelters and Reservations

The Fort Madison Parks and Recreation Department has several open and enclosed shelters that are suitable for a variety of activities. Contact the Parks Department at 372-8917 ext. 273, or in person to make your reservation. Fees for renting a shelter must be paid within two weeks of making the reservation in order to secure your reservation date.

	NAME: Mike Johnson Memorial Pavilion LOCATION: Central Park RENTAL FEE: $20.00 SIZE: 20' x 48' SEATING CAPACITY: 30 AMENITIES: Electricity, park benches, period lighting, Atlee Fountain & Rotary Garden, playground equipment, water fountain and turn-of-the-century style bandstand. PARK HOURS: 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.
	NAME: Old Lions Shelter House LOCATION: North of Tri-State Rodeo Arena Park RENTAL FEE: $50.00 SIZE: 60' x 40' SEATING CAPACITY: 190 AMENITIES: Electricity, short distance to restrooms, horseshoe pits. There are 6 electrical pedestals (2 sided) nearby for special events. PARK HOURS: 6:00 am to 11:00 pm
	NAME: Riverview Park Shelter House LOCATION: East end of Riverview Park RENTAL FEE: $50.00 SIZE: 60' x 40' SEATING CAPACITY: 50 AMENITIES: Electricity, restrooms, playground equipment and swings. PARK HOURS: 6:00 am to 11:00 pm
	NAME: New Lions Shelter House LOCATION: Along Airport Road in Rodeo Park RENTAL FEE: $10.00 SIZE: 18' x 36' SEATING CAPACITY: 50 AMENITIES: Portable restroom facility located nearby. PARK HOURS: 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.
	NAME: Airport Annex Shelter House LOCATION: Corner of X32 & Airport Road RENTAL FEE: $20.00 SIZE: 20' x 36' SEATING CAPACITY: 60 AMENITIES: Electricity, portable restroom facility located nearby, playground equipment and swings. PARK HOURS: 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.
	NAME: Scenic Drive Shelter House LOCATION: End of Scenic Drive in Rodeo Park RENTAL FEE: $20.00 SIZE: 20' x 30' SEATING CAPACITY: 60 AMENITIES: Electricity, swing set and portable restroom facility located nearby. PARK HOURS: 6:00 am to 11:00 pm (Scenic Drive Road is closed from November 1st to March 31st)
