The City of Fort Madison will be conducting City Wide Fall Clean Up on Thursday, October 6; Friday, October 7 and Saturday, October 8. All Fort Madison residents shall bring their refuse to the central location at the City lot at 15th Street & Avenue I between the hours of 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (Oct 6 & Oct 7) and 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (Oct 8). Residents must provide a valid form of identification and City Water Bill in order to place refuse items in dumpsters. There are many residents within the City of Fort Madison who cannot bring or do not have the where-with-all to bring their items to the central location site at 15th Street & Avenue I during City Wide Fall Clean Up. If you are interested in being a Good Samaritan by helping these folks out please call City Hall at (319) 372-7700 x 201 and leave your name and phone number so that we may call upon you to assist those in need.
In conjunction with the City Wide Fall Clean Up the City of Fort Madison will allow four (4) extra garbage bags of regular garbage (weight restrictions apply) per household the weeks of October 10, 2016 through October 28, 2016. Residents should place their garbage at the regular pickup location by 6:00 am on the morning of their regular pickup day.
