The City of Fort Madison Sidewalk Snow Emergency
The City of Fort Madison has issued a City Wide notice that sidewalks are required to be cleared of snow and ice.
When: Sidewalks must be cleared before Thursday, January 17th at 6am.
Where: Every property in the City.
What: All public sidewalks along the front and side of properties including clearing access onto the street and alley (plowed snow from the street must be removed from sidewalk entry)
City to take action: If sidewalks are not properly cleared, the City will have crews out beginning Thursday to correct the violation without further notice. Properties cleared by the City will be billed for the work.
