Notice is hereby given that the City of Fort Madison will hold a public hearing regarding a voluntary annexation of a parcel in Jefferson Township, Lee County, Iowa to the City. The hearing will be held at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the Council Chambers of Fort Madison City Hall at 811 Avenue E, Fort Madison.
The property to be considered for annexation can generally be described as follows: property north of 2031 48th Street (PAW Animal Shelter). A complete legal description of the property, including an aerial photo, can be viewed at Fort Madison City Hall during normal business hours.
